Alpaca is an AI image-generation tool. This machine learning tool comes in a toolbar format that you import into your photo editing software. Alpaca was initially a language model built on top of the Meta open-source project, LLaMA 7B. As its proof-of-concept, this app is released as a toolkit that can be integrated into apps such as Adobe Photoshop. This adds a range of AI-powered photo editing capabilities such as creating elements, applying gradients, and filling backgrounds through text prompts.

As an add-on to other platforms, it works flawlessly and matches the base app’s existing themes. More importantly, it can be deployed locally, eliminating the need to switch between windows. The only catch with the platform is that users have to register and join a waitlist until the developers give them access.

Powerful but with limited access

For graphic designers and editors, this extension of the massive Alpaca project is definitely a big help. With the ability to create revisions and insert elements through presets and text prompts, this is set to revolutionize how creative tasks are performed. It also integrates seamlessly with Photoshop. The only issue right now is its limited access.
